Turkey in a Bowl

A tradition for many is a rousing game of touch football on Thanksgiving morning. Twelve misisonaries used the large backyard of the Mission Home this morning for their Turkey Bowl. A brand new missionary, Elder Tolman from Chino Hills, CA scored the most touchdowns. This will not get him into heaven any sooner than the others, but its a fun way to start off his mission!

The following is a photo of a Turkey Bowl from Wawa. Wawa is a chain of convenience stores throughout the Delaware valley. They offer a wide variety of very good fresh food and very good junk food. There are 15 Wawas within 5 miles of the Mission Home. The Wawa Hot Turkey Bowl costs $2.99 and has turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and dressing.

We invited 10 of our missionaries to join us for dinner. Joyce cooked an amazing meal. Wawa's Turkey Bowl couldn't touch her scrumptious feast. We topped it off with homemade pies galore: pumpkin, coconut cream, cherry and apple. Wahoo!
