A Happy Homecoming

Words cannot express the joy and gratitude Joyce and I now feel.  It has been a privilege to serve as mission president of the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission.  And now, to be with our family for a homecoming celebration, is frosting on the cake -- or, in our case, lots of homemade ice cream!  This will most likely be the last formal posting on Called To Serve.  Thank you for your readershp, your comments, your prayers and your online friendship.

  1. I've been reading your blog faithfully for about 2.5 years now, and to be honest I think I'm going to miss it! It's been an inspiration to me and a testimony builder to follow your stories of missionary work. I've been glad to get to know you while we've been on the same side of the country, and I hope that someday soon we might get to visit you on the other side.

  2. I have to echo what was said above, I'm going to miss your posts. Missionaries just don't serve where they are sent and you and Joyce were a great inspiration to me while you were gone. I'm so glad to have Joyce home (and you, too, Mike) but I'll miss reading your blog - it truly was a testimony builder for me and gave me some much needed boosts along the way. xo, Nan

  4. I am not much of a blog commenter, but I do visit your site frequently and have loved keeping up with the wonderful news of your mission!

It's been inspiring in many ways to see all the good the Lord has donen through you these past three years. And the Spirit felt whilst reading of your experiences has pushed me along in my own missionary efforts. Thank you for that!

Safe travels (though, you may be home by now)!

  5. Oh President and Sister Murray, what an incredible influence you've been in so many lives over the past three years. It was a pleasure to serve along side you and then to follow your stories and doings in this blog. I am sorry to hear this may be your last post here. Good luck going forward and we love you both!
